What is FAFSA?
A:
FAFSA is an acronym meaning Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Any and all students hoping to get scholarships and/or federal grants to attend college must fill one of these forms out. Filled out online, the FAFSA application will help the government analyze your current tax bracket and family earnings in order to determine how much money in grants you will receive. The FAFSA is the college standard when it comes to financial aid and all students are encouraged to at least apply. Before you begin, make sure you have all of the necessary social security, residency, tax returns, earnings reports, and your dependency status ready to go.
